Terms of Service
The rules for using this site, registering for OSMDentis 2026 and buying packages and workshops.
1. Who we are
The website and the congress are operated by Organizația Studențească de Medicină Dentară Târgu Mureș (OSMD Târgu Mureș), with its registered office at str. Nicolae Grigorescu nr. 17A, ap. 010, Târgu Mureș, Romania, fiscal code (CUI) 29929597 (“OSMDentis”, “we”, “us”). Contact: contact@osmdentis.ro.
By creating an account or placing an order you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. How we handle your personal data is described separately in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and provide true, complete and current information.
- One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use.
- We may suspend or close an account that provides false information, is used abusively, or breaches these terms. Where that affects a paid order, section 6 applies.
3. Eligibility for packages and workshops
Packages and workshops are offered to specific groups of participants — for example students of a given university or specialisation, dental technology students, or resident doctors. Which ones you can book is determined automatically from the information in your profile and is shown on the site.
- The information you give about your university, specialisation, year of study or resident status must be accurate, and students must upload a valid supporting document (student card or certificate from their university).
- We may check eligibility at any time, including at the venue, and may ask you to show proof of status.
- If an order was placed on the basis of false or inaccurate information, we may cancel it. In that case we refund the amount paid, and you will not be able to attend under that package.
- If you believe an eligibility rule was applied to you incorrectly, write to us and a member of the organising team will review it.
One package per person. Each participant may hold a single participation package. Packages cannot be upgraded or combined, and are personal: they may not be resold or transferred to another person without our written agreement.
4. Orders, prices and payment
- Prices are shown in Romanian lei (RON) and are the final amount you pay; the total is shown before you confirm the order.
- Limited places. Packages and workshops have a limited number of places, allocated in the order in which payments are confirmed. While you complete payment your place is held for a short time; if the payment is not completed in that time, the place is released.
- Payment is made online by card through NETOPIA Payments. Card details are entered on NETOPIA's secure page and never reach us.
- Confirmation. The contract between you and us is concluded when the payment is confirmed. You receive a confirmation email, and the order appears in your account. An order whose payment fails or is abandoned is not valid and does not reserve a place.
- Invoice. We issue an electronic invoice for every paid order, and it is reported to the Romanian tax authority through RO e-Factura as required by law.
- We may refuse or cancel an order in case of an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, or a breach of these terms. If you have already paid, we refund you in full.
5. The congress
- Access. Your package gives you access to the activities it includes, as described on the site at the time of purchase. Please bring an identity document; you may be asked to show it together with proof of student or resident status.
- Programme changes. We do our best to deliver the programme as announced, but speakers, times, rooms and the content of individual sessions may change for reasons outside our control. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund, as long as the congress itself takes place.
- Workshops. If a workshop you booked is cancelled, we offer you a place in another workshop where available or refund the amount you paid specifically for that workshop.
- Conduct. Participants must behave respectfully towards other participants, speakers, organisers and the venue, and follow the venue's rules and our instructions. We may refuse access to, or remove, anyone whose behaviour endangers or seriously disturbs others, without a refund.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation by you
Participation in the congress is a service provided on specific dates. Under Article 16(l) of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014, the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to services related to leisure activities with a specific date of performance. Packages and workshops are therefore not refundable once paid, except in the cases below.
Cancellation or major change by us
- If the congress is cancelled, you receive a full refund of the amount paid.
- If the congress is postponed, you may keep your package for the new date or ask for a full refund within 14 days of our announcement.
- If we cancel your order under section 3 or 4, you receive a refund as stated there.
Refunds are made to the card used for payment, normally within 14 days. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you arrange yourself.
7. Force majeure
We are not liable for failing to perform our obligations where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, decisions of public authorities, or the unavailability of the venue. In such a case, section 6 applies to cancellation or postponement of the congress.
8. Using the website
- The content of the site — texts, graphics, logos, programme and design — belongs to us or to our partners and may not be copied or reused without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
- You may not use the site to break the law, to attempt to access other users' accounts or data, to interfere with its operation, or to collect data automatically.
- We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
9. Liability
Our total liability towards you in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. This limitation does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to personal injury, or to any other case where the law does not allow liability to be limited. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights you have as a consumer under Romanian and EU law.
10. Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, write to us at contact@osmdentis.ro. We answer complaints within 30 days.
If we cannot resolve the matter together, you may contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro) or use alternative dispute resolution (SAL, anpc.ro/ce-este-sal).
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably are resolved by the competent Romanian courts, without affecting your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to an order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top always shows the current version.
